Oliver’s work combines quantitative research, econometric modelling and qualitative analysis to inform policy and regulatory decisions. He has advised government departments, regulators and industry bodies on projects spanning aviation, water, financial services, energy and communications. His recent experience includes supporting the Civil Aviation Authority on the H8 price control review, contributing to Ofwat’s PR24 work and CMA appeal preparation, advising the FCA on open banking and equities market transparency, and assessing input price trends and estimating total factor productivity in the rail sector for the Office of Rail and Road. Oliver has also worked on projects for DESNZ and ComReg in Ireland, providing analytical support and economic modelling across a wide range of regulatory and policy challenges. He holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from the University of Bristol.
Outside of work, he follows football – particularly Arsenal – plays regularly, and is a committed film watcher.
