Presentations and Seminars

Much of our output for our clients is in the form of written reports.  Here we aim not only for the highest standards of clarity but also for a prose style which will suit the majority of the intended readers.  These may sometimes be expert economists, but frequently will be specialists in other disciplines or members of the general public.

In practice, people reading our reports may include High Court judges, Ministers, senior managers, directors of regulatory or competition authorities, the Press, and others.

We aim always to agree with clients, in advance, how our reports should be presented so we may deliver maximum benefit to the majority of recipients.  Where confidential or sensitive material is involved we offer to produce non-confidential as well as confidential versions.

Sometimes we are required to present our findings face-to-face before audiences large or small, specialist or non-specialist.  We are also often asked to accompany clients in meetings with policy-makers or influencers in order to explain the conclusions we have reached as independent experts.  Our senior staff are trained to carry out all these forms of client support with a high degree of skill and professionalism.

We are happy to appear as expert witnesses in court, before competition authorities and regulatory bodies, or before Parliamentary Committees.

Several of our most senior staff members are experienced in giving interviews both to the Press and on radio and television.

We are routinely invited to present at seminars and conferences in the UK and overseas, and to write specialist articles for learned and trade journals.
